Salary:                Full-time, Band 7 Salary Scale: £31,696-£41,787 per annum

The Clinical Measurement Group is looking to appoint a specialist Healthcare Scientist to undertake and develop intra-operative spinal cord monitoring (IONM) services, which the team provide for the Trust. The post is an exciting opportunity that would suit candidates who are either clinical neurophysiologists or clinical scientists with significant knowledge of and experience in evoked potential monitoring.

The main role of this post is to provide multimodal neurophysiological measurements of spinal cord function of patients undergoing corrective spinal deformity surgery or tumour removal. The successful candidate would be expected to help provide specialist advice and training to other professions around these investigations, particularly in the area of motor evoked potential monitoring. Working with the Head of Group, the post holder would also have responsibilities to ensure these services are efficiently provided, reported, documented and audited.

We are looking for a suitably qualified, motivated individual who is able to work flexibly, both independently and as a member of a dedicated team. Good communication skills are essential to relay critical information to the entire surgical team and while working under pressure. The post requires partaking in out of hours duties.
